LOC recently teamed up with the Mill Valley School District to create an art drive. Students at all elementary schools and the middle school (Mill Valley Middle School) will be working on artwork to be donated to our program. Please contact us if you and your institution are interested in creating a similar project.
Our first LOC chapter has been established at Tamalpais High School, as a club that students can join to be a part of our program. Students write weekly letters and assist with the more hands on aspects of LOC- preparing letters, assembling envelopes, and organizing artwork.
LOC is teaming up with the non-profit organization, LITA, to gather volunteers for their Bridging Thru Music program. BTM gives volunteer musicians the opportunity to play music at long term care facilities.
Another LOC chapter has been created at Yerba Buena High School as a source of volunteering for the school's students. Students at YBHS write weekly letters for our organization.
