Letters of Comfort
Tamalpais High School
Our very first high school chapter was at Tamalpais High School. Many of our first volunteers are students here, and with their help we were able to grow our program. Our Letters of Comfort club at Tam has been a wonderful addition to our volunteer program, and we are very excited to continue working with their students.
Jonas Barnes: Junior
Hi! My name is Jonas Barnes and I’m a junior at Tamalpais High School. I do varsity wrestling for Tam, and I’m also on the track and field team. I love hanging out with friends, mountain biking, listening to music and going to the beach. My favorite subject is science and I hope to study Botany in college.
Alana Concannon: Junior
Hi! My name is Alana Concannon. I am a junior at Tamalpais High School. I run varsity cross country and track. I have been playing piano for 8 years. I have been learning French for 4 years. I love reading and listening to music. My favorite subjects are English, math, and chemistry.
Samantha Murphy: Freshman
Hello! My name is Samantha Murphy. I am 14 years old and a Freshman at Tamalpais High School. I really enjoy lacrosse, and I have been dancing for my whole life. I also like hanging out with my friends, hiking, biking, and going to the beach. My favorite subjects are History and Science.
Gabriel Brooks: Junior
Hi, my name is Gabriel Brooks, and I am 16 years old. I was born in Paris, and I lived there for my entire life until I moved to Corte Madera 2 years ago. I attend Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, and I am currently in 11th grade. I enjoy playing sports with my friends, and helping people. I love traveling and learning about different cultures worldwide.
Maya Sordoillet: Junior
Hi! My name is Maya Sordoillet and I'm a junior at Tamalpais high school. I was born in Paris and I lived there for most of my life. I moved to Mill Valley about 5 ½ years ago. I love to play lacrosse and push myself to improve everyday. I also love going out on the bay and wakeboard with my sister.
Ethan Lin: Junior
Hi! My name is Ethan Lin and I am 16 years old. I’m going to be a junior next year, attending Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley. My favorite subjects are math and chemistry. I’m on the varsity cross country and track team, and I also played JV basketball last year. Although I enjoy playing many different sports, running is definitely my favorite. If the quarantine is lifted by the time school starts in 2020, my team and I hope to qualify for the state championships in cross country. Outside of running, I love to play the guitar, read, and spend time with friends.
Kylie MacRae: Freshman
Hi! My name’s Kylie MacRae. I’m currently a freshman at Tamalpais High School. I’ve lived in Marin County my whole life and love it here. In my free time, I love to listen to music, read, write, and bake for my family and friends. One of my biggest accomplishments is getting an honorable mention for my writing last year in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. I’m not a huge sports person, but I do enjoy watching the occasional game of baseball or soccer. (Go Dodgers!)
My life plan at the moment is to graduate from college and pursue a degree in secondary education or creative writing. After this, I’m hoping to get a job as an English teacher and write books in my free time. Volunteering in my community has been a goal of mine for a while and I’m so excited to be a part of Letters of Comfort!
Charley Morgan: Junior
Hello! My name is Charley Morgan and I am a Junior at Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley. I enjoy learning about the sciences inside of school while also spending time outside. I love to hike, run, bike, and swim at the beach with friends and family.
Leia Sasso: Junior
Hi! I’m Leia Sasso and I am 16 years old. I am a Junior at Tam High School and my favorite subject is history. In my free time I like to go hiking and hangout with my family and friends.
Brianna McInnis: Junior
Hi, my name is Brianna and I’m a junior at Tam! I live in Tiburon with my little brother, parents, and my foster dog named fiona. i love to be outdoors running, hiking, biking, even swimming. I love spending time with friends and family and I’m excited to get to talk with you all!
Kader Kayser: Junior
Hello! My name is Kader and I am 16 years old and a junior at Tamalpais High School. I love to mountain bike, ski, go camping, and make art. I love the outdoors and have lived in Marin my whole life. I also love to travel and go to different places around the world.
